THE STEWPOT

HUNTERS FEEDING THE HUNGRY

The Stewpot receives venison (deer meat) from hunters each year. This helps tremendously by providing hundreds of pounds of meat. If you would like to donate your deer (or even a portion) to The Stewpot, simply take your deer to one of the following processors.

Started in October 1983, The Stewpot is an outreach ministry of First UMC of Magnolia. Serving hot meals to those in need, The Stewpot reaches tens of thousands of people each year. During its first year in ministry, The Stewpot served 6,500 meals. Currently, on average The Stewpot serves over 30,000 hot meals each year.

The Stewpot is open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays of each week from 4:00-5:30 pm. In winter months, The Stewpot may close earlier due to weather.

Numerous church and community groups help serve meals each week, and Stewpot could not exist without the support of the community. To learn how your group can be a part of this great ministry, please contact Valerie Sanders.
